Spring 2023 FXB Climate Advocates Program
Updated: Jan 4
It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of applications for the 2023 Spring cohort of the FXB Climate Advocates Program!
In 2022, the program empowered three global cohorts (250 youth) aged 13-25 from 45 countries around the world to implement climate solutions in their communities and at the global level. Now it’s your turn to get involved!
To inspire youth to take action and understand how climate change impacts their communities, the FXB Climate Advocates is partnering with organizations like the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University, Urban Health Lab at New York University, Citizens Climate Lobby, among others.
The Spring 2023 cohort of the FXB Climate Advocates Program is a four-month online program that equips youth to implement climate solutions by building a network of like-minded individuals, developing connections with organizations working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, and facilitating access to tools and platforms to implement their individual climate initiatives.
The program offers sessions to learn about climate change topics and develop skills to enact change. Topics covered include climate science, solutions, policy, lobbying, digital storytelling, health, sustainable consumption, and energy.
Participation in the FXB Climate Advocates program provides youth with a comprehensive professional network and a resume-builder for future environmental action. It also instills confidence in them to take on leadership roles in their communities and make a difference in the world.
The program will begin on January 28th and includes 9 two-hour sessions on Saturdays at 10 am ET. By the end of the program on May 15, each participant will have attended at least 90% of the sessions and implemented a climate project in their community. All those who meet these criteria will graduate and receive a certificate of completion from the FXB Climate Advocates program.
The application deadline for the Spring 2023 cohort is January 18, 2023.
