My name is Nada. I live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and I’m a Junior at the British International School. Just a few years ago I got more into the environment and trying to help the pollution and climate change.
Even though it was just my family and I recycling more and try to change our ways so that it’s less harmful to our planet, it still made a difference. I couldn’t help but to imagine how our Earth would look like if we all decided to focus on the damage we already created and try to fix it.
When I was younger, I remember always looking outside the window of the car and always finding new buildings that were being built, either a mall or offices, but I never paid much attention to it. As I was starting to get into the environment, I realized that our skies would be bluer and more visible if we hadn’t had many skyscrapers or factories. Every time I leave my house and drive to different areas, there was always construction for entertainment or work purposes.
This year I took Environmental studies at school to understand and learn more about our environment. I then heard about FXB climate advocates and knew that I had to join and do anything I can to help mother nature heal.
