In as much as I have tried in my capacity to influence people (particularly the youth and women) in understanding the need to advocate for the climate, I believe that there is still the need to learn and build more capacity to create an even bigger impact in my country and beyond. Enrolling in this program would not only help me learn from like minded advocates who are eager to make an impact, but will also help me get more ideas on how to reach this goal.
Margaret Impraim is a self-driven climate change advocate. She focuses on Climate Justice and Skills Development for the youth. Her goal is to use her knowledge and skills to contribute to environmental sustainability and the fight against climate change.
I was part of the pioneers that organized the very first session of the local conference of youth on climate change in my country. This was a very big change for me because for the first time, there was a gathering of youth from different parts of the country coming with the sole purpose to discuss the environment and generate youth demands for the respective local and central authorities.
