I enjoy researching biology and the environment and try to help my community in any way I can. This year, I published a paper on the cytoplasmic pattern recognition receptor in COVID-19 and created/taught a new curriculum that focuses on saving energy and native plants.
I enjoy working with other people and have loved helping the environment through spreading environmental literacy in my community, developing platforms/events in my school district for students to learn about ways they help, and even working internationally with students in Albay, Philippines to take climate action together. I am interested in joining FXB Climate Advocates because it will allow me to meet and work with great mentors and talented students from different backgrounds/places. It can also provide me with the resources, new perspectives, and connections to be more effective in my work with climate action.
Greta Thunberg inspired me to start working with climate action. She showed how one person can work with their community to create great changes for the environment, and that everyone can help.
