Profile: Alexios Poyiadjis

I am a young determined man who wants to bring change to the world for its well-being. Also, as a student, I want to learn everything I can to help my future self be better off. I am an athlete who loves to compete and will do anything to win.

I have a passion for the environment and want to learn more about what I can do to help save our planet from the damage we have done to it. Specifically, I am interested in energy sources and how we can use innovative technologies to create a better world.

I am currently working on developing a competition that would initiate young NYC high school students to create innovative ideas on how we can solve New York state environmental problems. I am doing this to help create change whether big or small, I want to play my role in the future of our Earth.

Someone who inspires me is Elon Musk. The way he has been able to make the electric vehicle industry large scale is amazing and is certainly a great way we can reach a better place in the climate crisis. Another thing that inspires me about Elon Musk is his incredible work ethic. For example, I have heard him speak in interviews about working 18 hours a day, 7 days a week for years which is something that I aspire to be able to do.
