Fiona Brown: Reversing the Tide on Plastic Waste

Plastic pollution has massive environmental costs. We created a policy draft that calls for decreased plastic production, increased domestic reprocessing, and to raise awareness about the importance of recycling. We are sharing the policy draft with municipal, provincial and federal politicians. We have successfully created a policy draft calling for a decrease in the production and consumption of plastics and raise awareness of issues related to domestic reprocessing and decreases in plastic types accepted for recycling. We are sharing this policy draft with politicians.
