Fatou Dosso

African Leadership University, Rwanda

My name is Fatou Dosso. I am a third-year student reading Global Challenges at The African Leadership University, focusing on Environmental Science and Wildlife Conservation. I have always been fascinated by nature and the outdoors, and my fascination has only grown as I have learned about the many threats to our planet's ecosystems and species. My short-term career goals are to first work for an international organisation committed to protecting the environment through the fight against climate change, then learn new skills, implement an environmental education and awareness project for the conservation and restoration of mangroves in the coastal areas of my country and finally gain experience in leadership and team building. My long-term goal is to create a company specialising in carbon trading following mangrove conservation and restoration practices. As an aspiring Climate Activist, I want to lead my organisation to champion the protection and conservation of mangroves in my country, Cote d'Ivoire.
