Faith Ndung'u
The African Leadership University, Rwanda

My name is Faith Waithira Ndungu; I am a proud Kenyan and a third-year student at the African leadership university. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Global challenges. I am excited to be part of this diverse learning environment that will contribute to my personal and professional growth. My career goals are to gain professional knowledge and training on 21st-century skills to become a global changemaker and be an agent of transformation in my community and the world at large. I am passionate about conservation, agriculture, and gender equality. My mission is to educate women in Nairobi slums about circular food systems, more specifically hydroponics systems, and advocate against unfair policies limiting women's contribution to climate change. Through this, we can achieve sustainable development and social justice and reduce inequalities in access to and control of products, knowledge, and financial resources between men and women. Being a part of this program will add to my mission by helping me acquire skills in different fields and actively collaborate with other passionate young leaders to understand and address various challenges facing our communities. I can not wait to see all the projects that will be developed at the end of this program.
