17, USA, Beach cleanups and sargassum infiltration in Mexico

“My project focused on the marine life in Mexico’s Caribbean coastline and Long Island. I did many beach cleanups in New York and Mexico. In Mexico there is a sargassum infiltration that causes a negative feedback loop and an increase in carbon emissions. My desired project outcome is to educate others and help clear the beaches. My current results are investigations from field studies at several beaches. Additionally I have held presentations and beach cleanups to raise awareness. 501-1000 people have been impacted so far.”
