“I designed and recommended a research based intervention to address the urban heat island effect through greening and outdoor cooling centers. I combined adaptive and preventative strategies in a vulnerable community and worked with stakeholders to identify and advocate effective heat responses. The desired outcome was to achieve at least one green cooling space in a vulnerable area of East Boston. ”
