Clara Brown: Reversing the Tide on Plastic Waste

There are high environmental costs associated with plastic consumption. We created a policy draft that calls for decreased production of plastics, increased domestic reprocessing, and raise awareness about recycling. We are sharing the policy draft with political representatives. To date, we have created a policy draft calling for a decrease in plastic production and consumption, to raise awareness of issues related to the domestic reprocessing of plastics and the negative impact of decreasing the types of plastic accepted for recycling.
